Last week our Engineers were put to the test, in a challenge to build a bridge that could hold a metal weight. They had to work together in teams and demonstrate communication, teamwork, problem solving and engineering skills! They were also given a spending limit for their materials so they had many challenges to work around. All bridges managed to hold the weight but the winning team had the bridge that when extra weight was added was the last one standing. Well done everyone!

Just before Christmas Rochdale Training closed its collection for The Sanctuary Trust and dropped off all items that were kindly donated by members of staff! In December we held a retirement party for one of our Engineering Team members Steve Kovaks. Steve taught over 250 learners who are now in successful engineering roles around the globe. His manager Rachel gave a lovely speech and it was followed by a wonderful farewell from Steve, from everyone here at Rochdale Training we wish Steve all the best and a long, happy retirement!
