Rochdale Training employees, apprentices, local partners, and employers have successfully completed a 10-mile walk for local charity, MIND Rochdale. The walk started at Rochdale Training and followed the canal directly into Todmorden, taking in some impressive scenery.
Just before Christmas Rochdale Training closed its collection for The Sanctuary Trust and dropped off all items that were kindly donated by members of staff! The Sanctuary Trust is a charity organisation that helps the homeless in Rochdale all year round. If you can offer any help to this amazing charity please visit:
Our Apprentice Academy Learners held a Winter Wonderland event in the breakout area at Rochdale Training for their closing group project, with learners demonstrating their amazing communication, organisation and co-operation skills. In addition we held a Wear Your Woollies day ensuring that both staff and learners had a great time. Fundraising from the different stalls and staff donations raised a total of £134 to be donated to Springhill Hospice
White Ribbon Day happens every November as part of the UN’s annual 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign. Run by the White Ribbon UK charity, the global movement works to end men’s violence against women by raising awareness against the issue, educating boys and men as well as encouraging people to come together to put an end to it.
This morning Rochdale Training held a coffee morning to highlight the campaign and asked male staff, students, and tutors to agree to the White Ribbon promise to end violence towards women and girls.
