WorldSkills UK Qualifiers at Rochdale Training.

Good luck to all learners who are through to the qualifiers stage. Today, Rochdale Training hosted with several local Welding Apprentices.  A special shout out to Alex Humphries, Jake from C-Capture Limited, Casey from Altrad Employment Services Ltd, Rhys from Specialist Metal Fabrications Ltd.

The competitions are a seven-month process, which includes regional heats and intensive training, before the ultimate test of the national finals, where finalists and medallists will be celebrated at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.

Performing Engineering Operations - Looking for Work.

Performing Engineering Operations, sometimes referred to as PEO has been designed to give those wanting a career in the Engineering sector a head start into employment. Throughout the course, you will work with industry-experienced tutors covering units on Hand Fitting, Mechanical Maintenance, Health and Safety and Data and Documentation.

Upon successful completion of this programme, you will have the chance to meet employers from the industry who have live vacancies to fill with people who hold the skills and knowledge you will have gained from this programme.

Entry Requirements:

  • Candidates must be 19+
  • Candidates must be a Greater Manchester Resident
  • Candidates must be unemployed
  • You must be committed for the full duration of the course
  • Not already enrolled on any other funded course
  • Must not already hold a Level 2 engineering qualification

Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading

Are you looking to develop your current career in Team Leading? This course will help you build on your existing management skills, enhancing your ability to improve teams and motivate staff and develop your confidence as a leader.

 

This training has been made possible thanks to Greater Manchester Combined Authority securing funding to deliver Adult Education. This course is designed for employed candidates and is the ideal launch pad for your management career.

The qualification consists of mandatory and optional units. The mandatory units cover core competencies, while the optional units allow learners to choose from a variety of areas to tailor the qualification to their needs and interests, and to reflect the context of their work. It covers a wide range of areas including dealing with conflict, motivating staff and personal development.

Candidates who are already employed in this sector.

Duration:

9 to 12 months.

Face to Face, 1 to 1 tutor support.

One teaching lesson per month.
