What are the Rochdale Diversity Awards?
The Rochdale Diversity Awards (RDA) celebrate the town’s cultural richness and diversity by recognising the valuable contributions individuals and organisations make in unlocking people’s potential and influencing positive change in the borough. Since its inception in May 2012, KYP has proudly managed this event.
By highlighting excellent work and good practices, the RDA aims to make Rochdale a better, safer, and more harmonious place to live and work in, resulting in better outcomes for all. The awards inspire providers to place equality, diversity, and inclusion at the heart of local services.
Why Your Nomination Matters
Good practice benefits the entire borough and society as a whole, but the impact is most profound for individuals and groups who are underrepresented and excluded due to factors such as age, gender reassignment, marital status, pregnancy, disability, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation or being marginalised due to a range of other circumstances.
How to Nominate:
- Visit the KYP Website: Access the nomination form and detailed guidance.
- Complete the Nomination Form: Provide detailed information about the nominee and their contributions.
- Submit Your Nomination: Follow the instructions on the website.
Important Dates:
- Nomination Deadline: Ensure your nominations are submitted by 18th October 2024.
- Judging Process: Nominations will be reviewed by a panel of independent judges.
- Awards Ceremony: 22nd November 2024 at Rochdale Town Hall.
