The Role
We are looking for a self-motivated, people-focused individual who is passionate about making a difference in the community.
As a Community Recruitment Advisor, you will spend the majority of your time out in the community, engaging with individuals aged 16 and above, promoting our programmes, and recruiting learners. You will play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with referral partners across Rochdale and the surrounding areas.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident working independently, highly organised, and able to manage their own time effectively while working towards recruitment targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of weekly learner recruitment targets, consistently achieving and exceeding them through proactive community engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners across Rochdale and Greater Manchester, including, Jobcentre Plus, Positive Steps, Ingeus, Youth Hubs, Community and voluntary organisations
- Conduct pre-screening interviews and provide high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
- Match learners to the most suitable courses based on eligibility and individual needs
- Ensure all enrolment paperwork and compliance checks are completed accurately
- Follow up with applicants promptly and signpost to alternative provision where appropriate
- Attend careers fairs, community events, and recruitment activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on internal systems and trackers
- Obtain and review Prior Learning Records (PLR) to confirm eligibility
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to manage learner numbers and course attendance
- Produce weekly and monthly performance reports
- Support other members of the recruitment team as required
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of people
- Ability to manage your own workload and work independently in the community
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Desirable:
- Experience in a recruitment, sales, or target-driven role
- Experience within education, training, or employability sectors
- Qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
- Knowledge of government-funded training programmes
Working Hours
Full-time: Monday to Thursday, 09:00 – 17:30 and Friday (09:00-16:30) (39 hours per week)
