Summary
You will be there to support your room leader and other practitioners and make sure you are following instructions for the day-to-day running of the room and make sure the children are happy and well cared for. It is expected that you will work with your colleagues throughout the nursery as a team, communicating efficiently.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Implement and promote all Nursery Policies and procedures
- We would like you to assist with the daily routine of the nursery, following all policies and procedures
- All staff members are expected to ensure that work with colleagues is supportive and professional and ideas and tasks are shared
- Ensure children’s records are kept up to date
- Act as a positive practice role model to ensure that the nursery values are maintained
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times and ensure confidentiality is maintained
- Attend and participate in out-of-work activities, e.g. parents' evenings, staff meetings
- Be aware of the high reputation and uphold its standards
- Be flexible with the working practices of the setting
- Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by line management
