Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Greet patients and visitors in a polite and professional manner, directing them as required.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to routine enquiries.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments using clinical software.
- Maintain and update patient records accurately and confidentially.
- Support the processing of repeat prescriptions and incoming/outgoing correspondence.
- Assist with data entry, filing, scanning, and archiving of documents.
- Provide general administrative support to the practice team, including GPs, nurses, and reception staff.
- Assist in the organisation of meetings and practice events.
- Uphold confidentiality and data protection policies at all times.
