Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Duties include;
- Dealing with members of the public in person, via email and over the telephone.
- Managing and supporting the council’s social media platform.
- Assisting with the production of the council’s quarterly magazine.
- Taking minutes and creating agendas for council meetings.
- Organising tourism and leisure community events.
- Supporting and organising community events.
- Any other Admin duties required.

In Whitworth, local government services are provided by three local authorities - Whitworth Town Council, Rossendale Borough Council and Lancashire County Council. Whitworth Town Council consists of 12 elected members (Councillors), who are served by a Town Clerk.
