Performing Engineering Operations includes units that will include hand fitting, mechanical maintenance, health and safety and data and documentation. The training is delivered on a one-to-one basis in the workplace.

The course has been designed to give employees an understanding of a wide range of engineering practices and allows them to further develop a range of practical engineering skills and safe and professional behaviours. If you have a workforce that enjoys learning by ‘doing’ and is more ‘hands-on’ then this course is for them.

This level 2 course is ideal for employees who have some knowledge in production or maintenance engineering.

This is a fast-track course allowing employees to build on existing skills and gain an accredited qualification.

Duration:

1 day per month (6 to 9 months).

Work-based with 1-to1 Tutor 

Course Details: 

The course will cover several fundamental engineering skills. Learners can select the most appropriate units that match their job role from the following:

  • Electrical Maintenance
  • Welding and Fabrication
  • Hand fitting
  • Mechanical maintenance
  • Health and Safety
  • Data and Documentation

Level 2 qualification accredited by EAL

Entry Requirements:

  • Candidates must be 19+
  • Candidates must live in Rochdale, Oldham, Bury or Tameside
  • You must be committed for the full duration of the course
  • Not already enrolled on any other funded course
  • Must not already hold a Level 2 engineering qualification
