Engineering Operative Apprentice

Short Vacancy Description:

The job role will include carrying out preventative maintenance activities on mechanical equipment, dealing with breakdowns, restoring components and systems to serviceable condition by repair and replacement. The apprentice will also be interpreting engineering data, carrying out fault location, restoring mechanical components.

Full Vacancy Description:

Daily duties will include:

Using and interpreting engineering data and documentation.
Carrying out engineering activities efficiently and effectively.
Handing over and confirming completion of maintenance or installation activities.
Carrying out fault location on mechanical equipment.
Carrying out maintenance activities on mechanical equipment.
Restoring mechanical components to usable condition by repair.
Provide support to a high standard of accuracy and presentation.
Operate machinery.
Work with experienced employees.

The apprentice will be mentored by an experienced engineer. Duties will include hands-on assistance with the production of finished products. Once trained you will operate machinery and play a key a key role in the operation.

Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (breaks to be confirmed)

Pay:

£10,982.40 a year

Progression:

Once qualified, progression is offered to the correct candidate, this could be a full-time position.

Training:

Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard
Apprenticeship learning is to take place in the workplace and on-site at Rochdale Training on a day-release basis, this is to be confirmed with the employer.
