This is an Early Years Educator Apprentice role. You will be working with senior and more experienced colleagues to deliver personalised learning, development, and care to help children get the best possible start in life. Main Duties Include:

• Able to care for and supervise the children, with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs.
• Work with the other staff on planning and preparation of activities to meet children's individual needs and liaising with parents.
• Keep developmental records and observations.
• Provide positive management of children's behaviour.
• Be involved in the preparation, care, cleanliness and maintenance of the playrooms and equipment.
• Keep accident, incident and risk assessment records.
• Supervise meals/snack times and where appropriate preparation of baby’s bottles.
• Adhere to the Policies & Procedures of Channings Childcare Ltd and compliance with the guidelines of Ofsted

Hours:

Monday to Friday, shifts are to be confirmed.

Total hours per week: 32 hours a week

Salary:

£10,649.60 a year

Progression:

Once qualfiied, progression is offered to the correct candidate. This could be completing the Level 3 Apprenticeship or a full-time role.

Training:

• Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard.
• Apprenticeship learning will take place in the workplace.

Things to Consider:

This is a hands-on role as well as spending a lot of time on your feet. The role will also include keeping the area clean and you must enjoy working with small children.
