Early Years Educator Apprentice
Short Vacancy Description:
This is an Apprentice role. You will be required to undertake a proactive key person role and build positive relationships with parents/carers and other professionals to support the individual needs of every child and effectively deliver the Early Years foundation stage in line with current practice and guidelines.

Main Duties to Include:
- Implement and promote all Nursery Policies and procedures
- Provide a secure, caring and friendly stimulating educational environment
- To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager
- Ensure children’s records are kept up to date
- Act as a positive practice role model to ensure that the nursery values are maintained
- Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness at all times
- Ensure that all rooms and outside areas are clean and tidy after use
- Liaise with parents and carers, keeping them informed of activities
- Be sensitive and responsive to the needs of children, parents and carers as well as other members of staff
- Work as part of a team
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents
- Support a commitment to the theory and practice of equal opportunities
- Feedback any issues or opportunities identified around the site that could impact on the quality of care provided
- Support the team in the upkeep of base rooms, displays resources etc
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times and ensure confidentiality is maintained
- Be aware of the high reputation and uphold its standards
- Attend and participate in out-of-work activities e.g. parents evenings, staff meetings
- Be flexible with working practices of the setting
- Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by line management
Hours:
Monday to Friday between, 7:30 am and 6:00 pm, shifts to be confirmed at interview.
Pay:
£11,668.80 to £23,028.20 a year
The rate of pay will be dependent on age and in line with the national living wage.
Training:
- Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard, which includes an Early Years qualification and a Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Apprenticeship learning is to take place in the workplace, method to be confirmed
Progression:
Once qualified, progression is offered to the correct candidate, this could be full support to move into more senior positions once trained.
Qualifications:
- GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade C / 4 and above) essential
- Other Early Years Level 2 (Grade Pass) desirable
