Employer Apprenticeships
If you want to make your organisation more effective and productive, then an Apprentice could give you the competitive edge. We offer a variety of Apprenticeship programmes within a range of industries, from Business and IT, to Engineering and Plumbing, and we can tailor programmes to meet your individual business needs. Apprenticeships are designed to give your employees job specific skills to help them reach their full potential.
Benefits
Skills shortages are still one of the largest threats to UK business; therefore it is essential that your employees are well trained and are able to perform a wide range of job specific tasks. Apprenticeships can help address these skills shortages within your organisation, as well as:
Improve staff retention
Motivation
Production
They can also be tailored to meet your individual business requirements.
You can take on a new Apprentice, through our Apprenticeship Vacancy Matching Service, or if you already have a workforce in place, Apprenticeships may be the ideal way for you to up-skill your employees. We can develop an Apprenticeship package to suit your business needs, and all the training can be delivered within the workplace.
Funding
Through Government funding, Apprentices can prove to be cost effective for organisations. If your Apprentice is 16 – 24 years, programmes are fully funded by the Government therefore you will not have to pay for the training.
Vacancy Matching Service
If you are looking for an Apprentice to join your organisation, our vacancy matching service could provide you with the ideal candidate. We receive many applications from potential Apprentices, therefore we can match individuals to meet your specific needs. What funding is available through Train to Gain
In August 2010, the Train to Gain eligibility rules reverted back to the original rules when the scheme was first introduced in 2006. Currently to access fully funded Level 2 qualifications individuals need to meet the following criteria:
• They must be over 19
• They must work a minimum 15 hours a week in a related role to the qualification they would like to do
• Must have been a UK resident for the last three years
• Finally they cannot have a Level 2 qualification or equivalent already – that is no more than five GCSEs A-C grades.
It is more important to mention that any qualifications that are in completely different subjects areas to the individual’s current job role still count when clarifying eligibility.
In October 2010, as part of the spending review, the government announced that the Train to Gain brand will cease to exist, the funding will still be available for Level 2 qualifications for those people who met the criteria just mentioned.
