The current industry-recognised entry level to plumbing is the C&G 6129, which provides you with the basic theory of plumbing & the knowledge required to move forward to the NVQ Level 2 (C&G 6089) which can be only be achieved through evidence in the work place.
The C&G 6129 is a modular course expected to last 2 years but progression is at the speed & experience of the learner. Currently, practical workshop & classroom training is held one day a week at Rochdale Training’s Plumbing Centre and the rest of the time is on-the-job with the employer.
