Rochdale Training are celebrating the success of its first Princes Trust programme helping young people to get an Apprenticeship with local employers.

Jade Hayward has successfully completed an 8-week programme and progressed into her dream career and a Childcare Apprenticeship with Rochdale Training.

Jade said “The course gave me a great insight into childcare. The tutor empathised with me and helped build my confidence. I enjoyed each group session and the work placement. I’m really looking forward to starting my Apprenticeship. It’s great to get a qualification while getting paid.’’

Kirsty, Manager from Newbank House Day Nursery said “Jade has settled well within the team and shown great initiative. We didn’t want to let her go and have now offered her an Apprenticeship. We are pleased to support the Princes Trust in partnership with Rochdale Training.”

Georgina Farrell, tutor at Rochdale Training, said: "Jade has progressed well throughout her training. This practical course has enabled her to improve confidence, get accredited qualifications with guaranteed work experience. I’m very pleased the employer has offered her an Apprenticeship to start immediately. Congratulations Jade.”

Rochdale Training are appealing to parents and carers to get our young adults into training. We want to get all our 16-24 year olds into training and employment through our Apprenticeships and partnerships with local employers.  At the end of the 8-week course, learners will be supported to apply for Apprenticeship roles across the borough. The next Princes Trust programme is starting on Monday 6th September. NewsArticle | (
