This qualification aims to meet the needs of candidates who work or want to work as in arange of job roles within the Customer Service sector, allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career within the Customer Service sector or other sectors that require Customer Service skills.

Entry Requirements:

There are no specific qualifications required to sign up to this course, however learners do need to be unemployed. This qualification is suitable for learners aged 18 and above (on 31st August 2019).  

Units covered on this qualification:

Therewill be a workbook to develop knowledge on customer service within group sessions and activities with the tutor and a test to show the knowledge that was developed to gain the qualification.

Support Work in Schools - City and Guilds Level 2 Award

Course information:

Qualification:       City and Guilds Award in Support Work in Schools

Course Description: 

This course aims to give candidates an overview of life as a Teaching Assistant in Schools. This qualification prepares learners for further learning and training whilst developing an understanding of the teaching and learning environment in a school setting. It covers areas such as how to support the well-being of a child or young person and child and young person development. Whilst on the course, learners will be introduced to the importance of safeguarding and Equality and Diversity within the classrooms, the different types of abuse and being alert to signs and symptoms.

Thereare no specific qualifications required to sign up to this course, however learners do need to be unemployed and in receipt of benefits. This qualification is suitable for learners aged 18 and above.

Unit 02 - Safeguarding the Welfare of Children and Young People
Unit 03 - Communication and Professional Relationships with Children, Young People and Adults
Unit 04 - Equality, diversity and inclusion in work with children and young people

           Progression:

On completion of this qualification, you may work within schools or continue with developing your knowledge onto an accredited level 3 qualification. There will be support to work with recruitment agencies to develop your work experience which will help you to decide on the age range of young people you want to work with.


Retail Knowledge - City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate

Course Information:

Course Description:

This course will give candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills needed to develop within the retail sector. Candidates will learn about security and lossprevention, the selling process and how to match products and meet customer needs.Candidates will look into various types of retail organisations and think about their chosen careers.

There are no specific qualifications required to sign up to this course, howeverlearners do need to be unemployed and in receipt of benefits. This qualification is suitable for learners aged 18 and above. 

Unitscovered on this qualification:

Unit 01- Understanding Customer Service in the retail sector
Unit 02- Understanding the retail selling process 
Unit 03- Understanding security and loss prevention in the retail business
Unit 04- Understanding the handling of customer payments in retail

There is a test at the end of this qualification but revision sessions will be held on topics you may need more support on
