Tameside Talent Academy 

The Tameside Talent Academy is a brand-new programme for Tameside residents aged 16-25. In partnership with The Princes Trust, Rochdale Training are offering an 8-week training programme that will include work experience, £50 weekly attendance allowance and the chance of moving onto an Apprenticeship or full-time employment. 

Mark Whittaker, Skills Advisor said "This course is designed to be fun and will help 16–25-year-olds get into employment. This practical customer service course will help you make new friends, improve confidence, get accredited qualifications with work experience. You will be supported every step of the way with a personal mentor and career coach. Employers are waiting to meet you, what are you waiting for ...apply now!" 

The course starts on the 18th October at Ashton Old Baths. and will focus on Customer Service environments. Everyone accepted onto the course will have the chance to complete digital training, first aid, health & Safety alongside an accredited qualification. The work placements will be arranged with local employers over a 2-week period. At the end of the 8-week course, learners will be supported to apply for apprenticeship roles across Tameside.

The programme is on offer to residents who are unemployed. We are especially keen to hear from Care Leavers,  Cared for Children, Unaccompanied Asylum Seeker Children, Young Carers, Electively Home Educated, those in transition year and Year 12 students for whom significant disruption has occurred.
