The 2008 Business Administration Apprentice of the Year
is Michelle Bidski of United Springs

Michelle Greenwood, lead assessor, commented: "Michelle started the course as a shy and reserved young girl and has blossomed into a confident young woman. Without being asked, Michelle offered assistance to new students to help them settle in quickly and continued to mentor them throughout the year. It is notable that Michelle successfully completed both Level 2 and Level 3 course work in a 12 month period which is a testament to her dedication and effort. She is a well deserved winner."
The 2008 Engineering 1st Year Apprentice of the Year
is Joe Stoloff of Farrel Ltd

Ernest Curzon, workshop manager, commented: "Joe has won this award because of his consistently good mechanical engineering work and his excellent attendance and time-keeping record. Even though he has come straight onto an Advanced Apprenticeship, he has done himself proud both here in the workshop and at College."
The 2008 Engineering Apprentice of the Year award goes to joint winners

Stuart Chapman, training assessor, commented: "Jordan and Bradley are both exceptional apprentices. They have completed their 4-year long electrical engineering apprenticeship framework and in that time also completed a HNC in electronics. They've both made extremely good progress and showed committment and enthusiasm throughout their training. They are well deserved joint winners of this year's award."
The 2008 Adult Learner of the Year award
is a Group Award for Meadows Care (I.T.)

“This year one company stood out well above the others for their commitment & dedication to training” comments Michelle Greenwood, lead assessor. “Ten learners at Meadows Care have gained ITQs L2 and 2 apprentices have gained L2 & L3. The senior management are extremely supportive of staff training and all the learners have been committed and enthusiastic. The whole company has given a most positive endorsement of how to apply training to their jobs.”
